Groove pulling unit

Kallesoe Machinery A/S manufactures a large number of special machines, among others specially designed groove pulling units for broaching of key grooves in belt pulleys and sprocket wheels.

The advantage of the Kallesoe Machinery groove pulling units is their flexibility: They have continuous speed control and a variable pulling length which enables a setting of the pulling length to the length of the pull broach. The work piece can be changed very quickly and the control allows the operator to save recipes for each pull broach (speed, pulling length).

In this groove pulling unit, the pull broach is pulled vertically through the work piece by means of two ball spindles. The slide that pulls the broach is attached to an INA linear guide to ensure stability during the broaching process. A movable arm makes sure that the pull broach is supported and held vertically when starting the process. The unit is equipped with cooling facilities prepared for a filter unit, with the aim of extending the lifetime of the pull broach further.

The control allows the operator to save recipes for each pull broach (speed, pulling length). For safety reasons, the unit is equipped with a 2-hands operation.
