The lamellas are layed-up on the laid-up table before the glue applicator ind the desired order for the glue application. This can be done manually, but can also be performed quickly and efficiently by one of Kallesoe Machinery’s automatic lay-up systems, see further information below.
The lamellas are led from the lay-up table into the glue applicator.
In this system, the glue is applied with a glue roller: The lamellas pass by the glue valve and glue is applied on one side.
The glue system KL50 can run 2-3 lamellas per second, calculated on 1-metre lamellas.
The order entry for the whole plant is done on a free standing operation console with Touch-panel.

After the glue application the lamellas are led on, cross led and straightened.
A custom-designed lamella stop ensures that the lamellas do not rebound and jam in the process. This way, they can be cross led quickly and efficiently, in one gliding movement.
When a whole row of lamellas have been cross led they are straightened and led to the feeding table, i.e. the belt conveyor before the press.
Only when the feeding table is filled the lamellas are led into the press.

Kallesoe Machinerys hot-water press type LV is a very efficient press combining high performance with easy and logical operation. The press is sturdy and strong.
The water in the plates is heated by means of electrical cartridges, and separate circulating pumps ensure a even temperature in the plates. It is also possible to heat the plates by means of the present hot-water system of the factory.
The hydraulic system is strongly dimensioned with a 2-step pumping station and controls ensuring maximum cycle speed. The pressure is adjusted by pressure sensitive switches or fully automatically according to current board dimensions. The laminating pressure is achieved by means of hydraulic cylinders fitted to a common bar.
The press belt is either a steel lamella belt or a thin, hard-wearing Mylar belt® with a very smooth and glue-repellent surface.
